Watching this HK movie made me want to start a blog again, so here it is!

The visuals in this were interesting, but what was more interesting to me was the gender power dynamics here. And the sheer number of violent acts committed against the main female characters.

I wonder if domestic AND public violence toward women at that, was actually tolerated and ACCEPTED during this era in HK. Well that's about it. It's not long enough out of college for me to want to dissect each and every scene and apply theory to it. Or rather, I physically cannot. Let us instead, appreciate the facial expressions and one liners here.
